BIO
I am a Research Associate in Biostatistics in the School of Public Health at Imperial College London, where I work in Prof. Marta Blangiardo's group.
My research investigates the impact of environmental policy on health outcomes, primarily using Bayesian spatio-temporal models. More broadly, my expertise lies in Bayesian causal inference, computational statistics, spline-based modelling and survival analysis. I am mostly motivated by applications where methodological development can support public health decisions and help address social and health inequalities.
I hold a PhD in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Trieste, where my work focused on developing methods for uncertainty reduction in statistical modelling. Prior to that, I earned my MSc in Statistics at the University of Calabria, with a thesis on frailty models for socioeconomic inequalities in cancer survival.
