MsLayla Bolton Saghdaoui

Layla is an accomplished researcher with a passion for improving patient outcomes in the field of chronic wound management. She began her research journey at Imperial College's Vascular Research department. During this time, she contributed to studies focusing on venous leg ulceration and managing complex wounds, providing her with invaluable insight into the impact of chronic wounds on patients' lives.

Motivated by this experience, Layla pursued further research opportunities, securing both an NIHR ICA Fellowship and an Imperial Health Charity Fellowship. This allowed her to expand her skills and knowledge, gaining expertise in qualitative research, behavioural science, public health research, epidemiology, and tissue viability.
She continues to champion nursing research in the field of wound care in her current post as an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow / Vascular Clinical Nurse Specialist.
