BIO

Michael's research focuses on the modelling of micro-aerated anaerobic digestion processes. This includes: (1) Thermodynamics electron equivalent modelling of reaction kinetics, (2) Photonic quntum computing (Gaussain Boson Sampling) for enzyme network problems, and (3) Quantum probability models for gene regulation. He also has a strong experience in using quantum computing for optimising bioprocess and solving combinatorial problems.

Michael completed a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering at Imperial and received the Best MSc Dissertation Prize of the year. He graduated from University College London with a 1st class honours degree in Chemical Engineering.

Alongside his research, Michael worked as a policy-support assistant for Imperial's Centre for Quantum Engineering, Science and Technology (QuEST). He is also a committee of the student-led Quantum Technology Society and a student member of the Society of Catholic Scientists.
