BIO

I am a Research Associate working for Dr. Katy Gaythorpe on the modelling of yellow fever burden and vaccination impact. Current work includes the development of a dynamic yellow fever transmission and outbreak model.

My research background is in the physical sciences - I studied Materials Science at undergraduate and PhD level at St. Anne's College, University of Oxford. I subsequently worked in materials characterization at Trinity College Dublin, the University of Lyon, and the Department of Physics and Astronomy at University College London. I moved into the field of epidemiology by working in HIV phylogenetics in the Division of Infection and Immunity at University College London. I subsequently worked for Professor Azra Ghani in the Malaria Modelling Group in the School of Public Health at Imperial on simulations and data analysis for both malaria vector control (specifically, the use of attractive targeted sugar baits, in collaboration with IVCC) and on gene flow in the malaria parasite (in collaboration with Dr. Robert Verity). I have also been involved in the work of the Imperial COVID-19 response team.
