DrKatie Willis

I develop computational and theoretical frameworks to understand the population genetics and evolutionary dynamics of technologies that alter the composition and fate of wild populations. My work examines how genetic technologies spread and persist in populations, with particular focus on the dynamics of engineered drive systems. I have established models for localized genetic biocontrol strategies and proposed molecular designs for confined population control. I work closely with molecular biologists to design and interpret cage experiments that test theoretical predictions.
