BIO

I am a postdoctoral researcher investigating how the brain interprets sensory information, focusing on spatial hearing as a framework for studying predictive brain mechanisms. My work combines psychophysics, electrophysiology, and perceptual modelling to investigate how we parse complex and dynamic auditory environments. I'm especially motivated by bridging neuroscience with real-world applications, and I currently collaborate with partners in the hearing technology industry to help translate research into practice. During my PhD, I used optogenetics and neural recordings to study how circuits in auditory cortex and hippocampus detect predictable acoustic patterns.
