BIO
Kaisheri is a Bioengineering Core Facilities Laboratory Technician in the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London (ICL). She received a BSc. (Hons) in Biological Sciences at Roehampton University before completing an MSc. in Genes, Drugs & Stem Cells – Novel Therapies at ICL.
In 2018, Kaisheri started working at the Toxicology Unit (ICL) as a laboratory technician, where she was responsible for performing extractions of post-mortem samples for the detection of drugs and alcohol. She then progressed to the role of trainee toxicologist, using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry instruments to detect and quantify drugs in a range of post-mortem samples.
Kaisheri then joined the Bioengineering Core Facilities team in 2022, providing technical support for the core facilities and laboratories in the Sir Michael Uren Hub, White City Campus. Her responsibilities include:
Providing support with the use of the HPLC-MS instruments
Equipment service and maintenance
Assisting with experimental design, development and analysis
General maintenance of the core facilities, inductions, training, health & safety and stock management
