BIO
I am working under the supervision of Prof. Nick Jones in the Department of Mathematics. My research focuses on single-cell transcriptomics data to study mitochondrial DNA mutations in human ageing. I use stochastic modelling and Bayesian inference to investigate the mechanisms underlying mtDNA mutation accumulation, and I am also interested in simulation-based inference to improve genomic-related analysis.
Prior to my PhD, I worked primarily in infectious disease modelling, with a particular focus on Dengue Fever and COVID-19. I am keen to develop climate-based early warning systems to support policymakers in suppressing Dengue Fever outbreaks.
