DrKatherine Josephs

Dr Katherine Josephs is a specialist registrar in Clinical Genetics. She is a Wellcome 4i Clinical PhD Fellow based at the National Heart and Lung Institute and the MRC LMS under the supervision of Professor James Ware. She earned her MBChB with Honours from the University of Edinburgh in 2011, where she also achieved a First-Class BMedSci in Reproductive Biology. She undertook her Foundation and Core Medical Training in London before spending 2 years at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York as a research scientist. She returned to London in 2017 to take up an Academic Clinical Fellowship in Clinical Genetics at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is currently working towards a PhD in cardiovascular genetics investigating the genetic architecture of paediatric cardiomyopathy.
