MsDr Kathryn Forcer

Dr Kathryn Forcer, BMBS, MSc is a Core Psychiatry Trainee doctor (currently Out of Programme for Research), Clinical Research Fellow in Psychopharmacology and MD(Res) student at the Imperial Centre for Interventional Psychiatry and Psychedelic Research (Imperial CIPPRes).

She has over five years of clinical experience in the NHS, including three and a half years in psychiatry across outpatient, inpatient and emergency settings. She has trained with the Institute of Psychedelic Therapy and previously worked as an Honorary Medic on DMT and 5-MeO-DMT neuroimaging studies at Imperial CIPPRes. As a Clinical Research Fellow, she has primarily worked as a medic and therapy guide on clinical studies including PsilOpioid and PsiloGambling. She has also worked as a medic on CIM-Ket, a programme piloting an NHS adaptation of the Montreal Model for ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant depression (TRD), based at the CIPPRes Clinic at St Charles Hospital.

Katie completed her medical degree at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) and an MSc in Global Health at BSMS. She is currently undertaking an MD(Res) in Clinical Medicine Research in the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London, with her research exploring connection and change in psilocybin-assisted therapy for addiction across the PsiloGambling and PsilOpioid studies.
