MrsJoanna Thompson

Joanna Thompson is the Director of Operations for the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction. Along with the Head of Department and Senior leadership team she is responsible for the development and implementation of strategy in MDR. She oversees the delivery of all operational functions across the Department. She is also actively engaged in promoting a positive and supportive culture across the Department, and is a member of MDR's People and Culture Committee as well as the Faculty People and Culture Committee, and the College EDI Committee.

Joanna was previously the Deputy Department and Operations Manager in the former Department of Medicine before taking up the role in MDR.

Joanna has worked at Imperial College since 1994 after graduating from Brunel University with a degree in Business Studies. She also has a Master's degree in Marketing.
