BIO
Dr. Jin Yu is a chemist and received his PhD in carbohydrate synthesis from the Synthetic Biomolecules group at Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften – ISAS Dortmund, Germany.
In 2020, Jin became a senior research associate at the Glycoscience Laboratory of Prof. Ten Feizi and Dr. Yan Liu at Imperial College. Initially involved in the Medical Research Council project characterizing glycan ligands recognized by collectin-11 in ischemic kidneys and developing a specific antagonistic probe, he later transitioned to the microarray facility. His research is primarily focused on extracting glycans from natural sources and creating glycome screening arrays to discover glycan ligands of biological relevance.
