BIO
My research focuses on understanding biodiversity and its role in maintaining healthy ecosystems through ecological processes such as pollination, seed dispersal and pest control. I am interested in using global-scale biodiversity data to monitor and predict the response of ecosystems to global change, with applications from biodiversity conservation to sustainable development.
I am a biodiversity consultant with a strong background in environmental science and technology, and extensive experience providing guidance to industry on biodiversity and sustainability strategies.
Information for prospective applicants
I am committed to promoting a relaxed and inclusive community where all group members are respected and provided with equal opportunities, regardless of their backgrounds. I have 10 years experience working outside academia in environmental NGOs and consultancies, so I understand a variety of different career pathways. My goal is to provide constructive feedback and opportunities for professional development for all members of my team, and I aspire to supporting junior researchers to develop their careers in academia and beyond.
You are welcome to apply to me directly if they are planning to submit an application for funding, and I am particularly open to supporting postdoctoral fellowship candidates. In your cover letter, you should outline your research interests, and how your experiences and skills will contribute to our research environment.
