DrJonathan Sturgeon

I am a paediatrician and Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London. I spend 50% of my time as a GRID trainee in Paediatric Immunology and Infectious Diseases in the London deanery. My work focuses on understanding the relationship between malnutrition, the gut, and the immune system in children. I have conducted research in Zimbabwe, looking at how severe acute malnutrition impacts child health and investigating immune responses in children with non-critical infections. Through my research, I aim to contribute to better healthcare strategies for children, particularly in resource-limited settings.
