Flow Cytometry facility webpage
Jessica has been manager of the Flow Cytometry Facility (South Kensington campus) since 2020. She aims to provide state-of-the art equipment, deliver high quality training and create an inclusive community for facility users.
With a background in respiratory biology, she joined the facility in 2016 as Flow Cytometry Specialist sorting a range of cell types incuding innate lymphoid cells, neutrophils, haematopoeitic stem cells, and epithelial cells. She undertook a two-year secondment in 2018 as manager of the High-Throughput Single Cell Analysis Facility within the MRC-CBRB centre, developing skills in sorting of infectious samples, and imaging.
Since 2020, she has grown the facility with the addition of two new analysers and a cell sorter. Moreover, she has developed a comprehensive series of workshops and training material accessible to all at Imperial College, and facilitated networks by hosting a programme of user group meetings.
