BIO
I am a postdoc in the Burt Lab and Target Malaria, using rare variation in genomic data from the malaria vectorial mosquitoes Anopheles gambiae to learn about their populations. I have a particular focus on measuring patterns and rates of movement of individuals across the continent, using patterns of identity-by-descent observed in rare variant associated haplotypes shared between genomes from thousands of samples across Africa.
Prior to this position, I completed a PhD in the same group, titled "The population genetics of rare variants in the Anopheles gambiae genome, and their use for demographic inference".
