About me

I am a clinician scientist with dual expertise in genomics and clinical medicine. I moved to Imperial College as an Associate Professor in Rheumatology in 2019. I was previously a UKRI Innovation Fellow at Health Data Research UK and post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Cambridge, where I was also an Honorary Consultant at Addenbrookes Hospital.

My group’s research lies at the interface of molecular epidemiology, computational biology and clinical medicine. Our focus is understanding the molecular and cellular basis of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases using a combination of genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics. We employ a wide range of techniques including longitudinal molecular profiling, polygenic risk scores, and Mendelian randomisation, leveraging both our own in-house datasets and also publically available resources (e.g., GWAS summary statistics, UK Biobank).
