BIO

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Health Systems working with ITARA - a project investigating the integration of diagnostics and care for tuberculosis and chronic respiratory disease in Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/nhli/research/itara .

My doctoral work was situated in the interdisciplinary field of critical global health, comprising medical anthropology and development studies. I investigated the political, cultural, and economic forces shaping scientific knowledge production in global health based upon a year's ethnographic fieldwork in Uganda. I argued that the knowledge produced in global health science is often disconnected and misaligned from the needs and interests of Ugandan public health workers, and my thesis showed how and why this happens.
