DrJing Pang

Jing is Head of Partnerships and Impact (Innovation Ecosystem) at Imperial College London, where he develops strategic partnerships and innovation ecosystems across AI, deep tech and emerging technologies.

He brings more than a decade of experience spanning research, technology commercialisation, venture building and industry engagement. A PhD-trained technologist with expertise across advanced materials, software, AI/ML and hardware development, Jing combines technical depth with commercial and strategic leadership.

During his career, he has negotiated and delivered more than 100 partnership, research and commercial agreements representing, working with organisations ranging from early-stage startups and deep-tech SMEs to global corporations including Google, Meta, Microsoft, Intel, Samsung, AMD, Dyson, Airbus, Shell, and NASA.

Beyond partnerships, Jing has hands-on experience as a founder and product builder, having co-founded ventures spanning ML-powered software and connected hardware. His work focuses on translating frontier research into real-world impact through venture creation, product development, intellectual property strategy, ecosystem building and industry collaboration.

At Imperial, he works across faculties, institutes and external partners to accelerate innovation, strengthen innovation ecosystem, enhance industry engagement and support the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, across research and operational environments.

He is particularly interested in how AI, science, and advanced technologies and cross-sector partnerships can be leveraged to address global challenges and create lasting economic and societal impact.
