BIO
James is a Workshop and Laboratory Technician in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering, providing research and development support to the Transmission and Reflection UltraSound Tomography (TRUST) research group, which develops novel ultrasound imaging technologies for applications including transcranial brain imaging.
With a background in science and design engineering, and experience in medical device development, James contributes to the design, manufacture, testing, and implementation of specialised research hardware. Working closely with researchers and students across the department, he develops innovative solutions to complex technical challenges, drawing on expertise in CAD, CNC machining, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and emerging technologies.
