BIO
Jenny Katsouli is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Toxicology, funded by the UK Health and Security Agency, at Imperial College London. Her research focuses on the toxicity and translocation of microplastics in distal airway structures, with a particular interest in microplastic bio-corona formation. To achieve the project's goals, she employs advanced microscopy and organs-on-a-chip technology.
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Applied Medical Science from University College London (UCL), followed by a Master's degree in Biomedical Research with first-class honors from Imperial College London. During her master's program, her research, sponsored by AstraZeneca, focused on understanding the bone marrow toxicity of chemotherapeutic drugs.
