John is a Research Associate at Imperial College London, working under the supervision of Dr. Jessica Wade. His work focusses on the interplay of electronic spin with light and electric currents towards the design of next-generation spintronic and quantum devices.

He joined the Department for Materials in September 2025, having completed his PhD on the design of luminescent radical systems towards opto-spintronics at Swansea University within the group of Prof. Emrys Evans.
