Jane is responsible for the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering’s internal and external communications including:

Managing the department's web content and ensuring it is well structured, up-to-date and accurately reflects the Department’s mission and strategy.

Managing content on social media platforms. Creating and launching engaging visual and written content for website and digital channels including social media and digital screens.

Managing and ensuring compliance with Imperial's branding and style guidelines for digital and print output, and acting as the key point of advice and guidance for all department communications activity.

Providing editorial support to the Department by drafting/editing key messages, briefings and information material.

Producing and facilitating brochures, leaflets, banners and other printed material, and ensuring the Department maintains a consistent verbal and visual identity across its digital platforms.

Creating and curating content for alumni and internal staff newsletters with the goal of building and maintaining engagement and community.

Liaising with the Education Team and Student Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions to create on-brand student recruitment and marketing material, including brochures and prospectuses online and in print, video and digital content, and ensuring that this content is reflected on the relevant Imperial websites.

Liaising with the central media teams with regard to press releases and raising awareness of the Department’s activities across research and education.

Encouraging, training and assisting staff to use new platforms for communication, and using the website CMS.

Ensuring our digital content meets Accessibility standards.

Supporting the Department’s mission and strategy across communications in research, teaching, department culture, industrial partnerships, alumni and outreach.
