BIO

Dr Julia Fussell is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Public Health at Imperial and a member of the MRC-PHE Centre for Environment and Health.

Through the analysis and synthesis of research results, she disseminates information on the toxicology and health effects of air pollution, microplastics and climate change through peer reviewed articles and reviews, official statements for government agencies and systematic reviews for international public health agencies and research organisations including the World Health Organisation and US Health Effects Institute.

The thrust behind this work is that translating focused, world-leading research into a cleaner and healthier environment ultimately requires collaboration between scientists, government and the public and this in turn, is dependent upon clear and consistent communication.
