TEACHING INTERESTS

Currently at the Business School, I lead Applications of R for Finance for the MSc Finance programme, and Python for Finance for the MSc Management programme. I am tutorial leader for the BSc Economics, Finance & Data Science Data Structures & Algorithms module. I run several workshops for Technical Analysis with Python, aimed at different cohorts across the Business School.

At ECRI, I lead a short introduction to the Julia programming language, and teach several sessions in the MSc Summer School Data Science programme. I am on the module team for the I-Explore Interdisciplinary Research Computing module, where I teach and supervise a group project. I have led short sessions on plotting with Python, version control with GitHub and software engineering best practice, and I am developing courses in writing and publishing documentation.

Previously, at the University of Westminster, I led modules in Robotic Principles and Enterprise Application Development with C#. I was involved in the delivery of various computing modules, including Software Development in Python, Object-Oriented Programming in Java, Mobile Application Development in Kotlin, Cyber Security & Computer Forensics, Client-Server Architecture in Java, Advanced Big Data Analytics; and several business modules, including Cloud Computing Applications and Information Driven Entrepreneurship and Enterprise.

In 2019 I was invited to lead the Cyber & IT Security Summer programme at EPITA School of Engineering & Computer Science in Paris, France. I created and delivered an intensive three-week course introducing the basics of cryptography, cyber security and computer forensics, culminating in a day-long cyber security capture-the-flag event on campus.

I have volunteered and taught for several groups, organisations, and initiatives, including codebar London, the Carpentries at various institutions, the Software Sustainability Institute's Mentorship programme and Stanford University's Code in Place.
