BIO
Jodie is the Public Involvement Officer at the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI). She works across IGHI - including the Helix Centre, the Centre for Health Policy, and the NIHR North West London Patient Safety Research Collaboration - to support the meaningful involvement of patients, carers, and public members in research.
In her role, Jodie has a strong focus on deepening and diversifying IGHI's relationships with its local community, and is passionate about building reciprocal and sustainable partnerships to support community-led research. Her recent work includes a participatory arts-based study exploring the healthcare experiences of women experiencing homelessness; a mixed-methods study exploring the mental health support needs of 10- to 13-year-olds; and a qualitative study exploring patient experiences of waiting for orthopaedic care for those living in the most deprived areas.
Jodie previously worked as Research Manager for the Diabetes Research Steering Groups at Diabetes UK. She holds a BSc in International Business from Northeastern University and an MSc in Global Health and Development from UCL.
