BIO
I am a cardiology registrar and NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, based at Royal Brompton Hospital.
I studied medicine at the University of Oxford, followed by specialist clinical training in cardiovascular medicine. Following a Master's in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, I was an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow at King's College London, investigating the effects of HIV on the heart.
My research asks how infection modulates the risk of heart muscle disease, specifically myocarditis and dilated cardiomyopathy. I use UK electronic health records at population scale to describe who develops these conditions, how that has changed over time, and what happens to patients afterwards.
