BIO
Ignacio is a Research Assistant in Renewable Power Grids at the EPICS Centre (Electric Power Innovation for a Carbon-Free Society) and a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London, supervised by Dr Elina Spyrou. He received an MSc with distinction in Future Power Networks from Imperial College London (2024) and his BSc and MSc from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2021, 2023).
His research interests include distributed energy resources, consumer-led flexibility and demand-side response integration in power systems. His current research is focused on resource adequacy and capacity contribution of demand-side flexibility.
