DrIgnacio Gispert Contamina

Ignacio is working as a Fellow in the Chemistry department. He co-directs the Membrane Biophysics Group and is part of the executive team of FabriCELL.

He completed a Leverhulme Trust-funded PhD under the supervision of Dr. Yuval Elani, Prof. Oscar Ces and Dr. Laura Barter, focusing on Cellular Bionics before joining the Elani lab in Chemical Engineering to work on new approaches to deploy synthetic cells beyond the laboratory for applications in resource-limited locations.
