DrHenock Taddese

Henock is a Principal Teaching Fellow in Public Health and Co-Director of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Programme at Imperial. He has studied public heath in Ethiopia, the UK and Denmark. He obtained his PhD from the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR), University of Sheffield, where he explored the roles and influences of Global Public Private Partnerships in advancing global health goals, through an in-depth analysis of the work of the Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria in Ethiopia.

Henock has also worked for different international non-governmental organisations coordinating needs assessments, design, implementation and evaluation of public health projects, in Ethiopia and Uganda. Henock teaches subjects related to research methods, policy analysis, needs assessment and project management and global health governance. He is currently co-module lead for the Research Methods module on the MPH and MSc in Epidemiology Courses, and co-specialisation lead for the Research Portfolio on the Global Master of Public Health Programme (online). Henock is interested in developing case based, interactive teaching methods that bring the complexities of the real-world to the classroom setting.

Henock supervises a range of MPH dissertations, and is interested in health service/policy evaluation studies, and mixed methods approaches utilising both secondary and primary data and systematic reviews.
