BIO
Helen Stoneham is the Resource Manager for the Department of Mechanical Engineering. She is involved developing processes and local strategies relating to the employee journey within the Department including research strategy, engagement & community, change management and project management.
She is responsible for managing operational processes relating to staffing procedures including recruitment, promotions, development, redundancy & resignation and contract changes. In her capacity as the Departmental liaison with Human Resources, Helen interfaces between Faculty of Engineering departments and end users, and central college operational teams to drive forward lasting positive change.
She is actively involved in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within the department through membership of the Departmental Equality & Diversity Committee (EDC) and previously as part of the College Athena SWAN self assessment committee.
Helen joined Imperial College in 2015 and has developed her career at Imperial. She has experience working in other Departments as well as in the Faculty of Engineering Research Strategy team where she coordinated the UKRI Covid-19 research mitigation fund.
