DrHongliang Ma

Hongliang Ma is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Imperial College London, specialising in quantitative remote sensing for ecology. His research focuses on vegetation and soil monitoring using microwave remote sensing, including L-MEB, soil moisture and vegetation optical depth, and optical remote sensing, including PROSAIL, LAI/FAPAR, vegetation water content and biomass. He integrates ecosystem modelling, including LPJ-GUESS, with multi-source remote sensing observations to investigate terrestrial water-carbon interactions across regional and global scales. He actively contributes to the international academic community through editorial board service for several leading journals, including Remote Sensing of Environment and Communications Earth & Environment (Nature Portfolio), and has twice been recognised as an Outstanding Reviewer for Remote Sensing of Environment.
