BIO
Hannah is a Research Associate in Human Factors at the NIHR HRC In Vitro Diagnostics.
Her research activities focus on applying Human Factors methodologies to support evidence generation for medical device SMEs and academic innovators. She identifies usability issues of new diagnostic point-of-care tests and medical devices, with a keen focus on cancer inequalities and disparities and inclusive design.
Prior to joining Imperial College London, Hannah completed her PhD in Sociology at Loughborough University, investigating the barriers and facilitators of transgender people’s participation in physical activity. Hannah has also worked as a Research Assistant at Loughborough University exploring gender inclusivity in women’s flat track roller derby. She is passionate about physical activity for health, tackling health inequalities and ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion in healthcare research.
