Here are some of the research topics we are pursuing:
Anthropogenic CO2 emissions - What are the emissions of CO2 to the atmosphere from human activities and how can we use atmospheric measurements to estimate or evaluate them? How can we use new data sources and machine learning to better understand the temporal and spatial distribution of emissions?
Ocean carbon dynamics - How is the ocean responding to changes in climate, atmospheric CO2 and other factors? How can we use isotopes of CO2 to better understand ocean dynamics?
I am part of the InMOS project on Integration of models and observations across scales: A novel data synthesis framework for diagnosing the coupled cycles of ocean carbon, oxygen, and heat
Terrestrial biosphere dynamics - How are terrestrial vegetation, litter and soils responding to changes in climate, atmospheric CO2 and other factors? How can we use isotopes of CO2 to better understand terrestrial biosphere dynamics?
