BIO
Dr Giulia Tarantino is an Associate Researcher at the Department of Chemical Engineering (South Kensington Campus) in the Hammond Lab.
Her current research interests lie at the interface between catalysis, spectroscopy and material synthesis. Specifically, her research focuses on selective alkane functionalization and investigating various reaction mechanisms with in situ and ex situ spectroscopic techniques.
Giulia was awarded a PhD from the Cardiff Catalysis Institute (UK), where she worked on the development of catalytic and photocatalytic methodologies for C(sp3)–F bond formation with heterogeneous catalysts.
