DrGabriel Sherliker

Dr Gabriel Sherliker is a GP partner and GP trainer at The Friarsgate Practice in Winchester, with broad experience across primary care, medical education, and secure healthcare settings. He is committed to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, with particular clinical interests in dermatology, mental health, intra-articular joint injections, and the care of looked-after children. His portfolio roles include working in secure environments, providing medical cover for a secure children’s home and inpatient forensic psychiatric units. His current research interest lies within primary care dermatology, alongside completing a postgraduate qualification in dermatology at Cardiff University.

Dr Sherliker qualified in medicine from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ in London before undertaking his postgraduate medical training across Wessex. He obtained his specialist Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in general practice in 2021. He holds a degree in neuroscience, with a focus on biological psychiatry, pain, and nervous system disorders, as well as a postgraduate certificate in medical education from the University of Winchester. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and serves on the RCGP Wessex Faculty Board.
