BIO
With over 20 years of experience in science, I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Life Sciences at Imperial College London. My academic career integrates expertise in mathematics, physics, molecular genetics, and developmental biology. My work is dedicated to advancing knowledge in plant morphogenesis and biophysics, focusing on plant-environment interactions, root-soil dynamics, and plant development.
I am head of the Laboratory of Plant Morphogenesis at Imperial, where I lead a multidisciplinary research team applying physics-derived approaches and molecular genetics methods to address fundamental biological challenges. My goal is to drive innovative solutions with tangible impacts on agritech, from enhancing plant tissue regeneration to developing advanced technologies for indoor and space farming.
