DrGeorgie Massen

Georgie Massen is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The George Institute for Global Health, Imperial College London.

Her research uses large-scale routinely collected healthcare data to investigate women's health and musculoskeletal conditions across the life course. She has a particular interest in menopause, musculoskeletal pain and multimorbidity, with current work focusing on the epidemiology and management of musculoskeletal symptoms in midlife women. She has also undertaken research in endometriosis and other aspects of women's health including sexual health, and is interested in collaborations aimed at improving the understanding and management of chronic conditions affecting women.

Georgie completed her PhD at the School of Public Health, Imperial College London, under the supervision of Professor Jennifer Quint. Her doctoral research investigated the emerging concept of multiple organ fibrosis using linked electronic healthcare records from England. In addition, she has conducted research in interstitial lung diseases and has a broader interest in chronic disease epidemiology and the application of routinely collected data to address important questions in population health.
