Gary teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students in many aspects of sustainability and, in particular, aims to embed core competencies for sustainability within his teaching such that students are better equipped to take action towards sustainability during and after their studies. Gary has a particular interest in embedding futures, systems, strategic and values-based thinking into sustainability education, and is developing conncetions with a European COST Action on Futures Literacy (FLARE)
