My interest in photonics stems from a curiosity about how quantum optics can push the boundaries of conventional measurement. I find it particularly rewarding to engineer the properties of light—whether through nonlinear interactions or structured fields—to unlock new capabilities in sensing and metrology.

I completed my Master’s degree and PhD in Photonics at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) in Barcelona. During my doctoral studies, which included a research stay as a visiting student at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen, my work bridged fundamental quantum mechanics and experimental quantum optics. I focused on developing nonlinear interferometry techniques for sensing with undetected photons, as well as implementing novel experimental nonlinear polarimetry methods to map and knot fractional-order topological structures using bicircular bichromatic light fields.

I subsequently joined Imperial College London as a Research Associate, focusing on photonic quantum sensing, advanced photodetection strategies, integrated photonics, and quantum information processing. I am particularly interested in designing loss-resilient quantum platforms capable of overcoming classical limits in real-world sensing scenarios.

I have recently moved to the Department of Physics and the Oxford Quantum Institute at the University of Oxford as a Senior Research Fellow in Professor Ian Walmsley's group, while continuing my affiliation with Imperial College London as an Academic Visitor.
