BIO
Frank is an Imperial College London Presidents PhD Scholar within the Department of Meabolism, Digestion and Reproduction, based at the Insititue for Reproductive and Developmental Biology. His research focuses on bacterial genomics in the context of maternal health, examining how bacterial infections and antimicrobial resistance patterns shape maternal health outcomes during and after pregnancy, building on his earlier work in the Department of Infectious Disease.
Frank was previously a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Health Research Health Protection Research Unit in Healthcare Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance. The HPRU was a partnership between Imperial College London, the UK Health Security Agency, Cambridge University, Warwick University and Imperial College Health Partners. The Unit was funded, along with 14 others in priority areas from immunisation to radiation hazards, to bring Universities to work in partnership with Public Health England to support excellent health protection research relevant to the needs for Public Health England..
