BIO

I am a PhD student under Prof Nick Jones in the Mathematics Department. I work on mathematical population genetics, using tools from probability theory and statistics. The twist is that the population I am interested in is the population of mitochondria in eukaryotic cells. For my master's thesis with Dr Gunnar Pruessner, I examined the entropy production of hidden-Markov processes, again using tools from probability theory.

Before joining Nick Jones' group, I worked for a brief time as a quantitative analyst.
