BIO
I am a cognitive and vision scientist with extensive experience with software engineering and machine learning. After an MSc in natural computation, I studied on the excellent UCL CoMPLEX MRes PhD programme, which allowed me to conduct four bioinformatics lab rotations followed by a three-year PhD. My doctoral work investigated, for the first time, the mechanisms of temporal visual search on dynamic natural scenes.
I am Senior Teaching Fellow at Imperial, where I teach introductory Python and SQL database technologies. I also teach several undergraduate Psychology courses.
I am a strong proponent of open access, data and model sharing. Recent analysis has shown that the file drawer problem and the replication crisis are great blockers to the advancement of cognitive science. I believe that over the next decade we must develop more efficient ways of sharing results, models and theory over the Web.
