BIO

I am the Senior Tutor and a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London, operating at the intersection of academic leadership, student strategy, and institutional governance within a large, research-intensive environment. I also hold a fractional appointment as Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at ARU Cambridge, contributing to both taught provision and doctoral training.

I bring over a decade of experience spanning higher education and the high-technology sector, including industry work as a Medical Imaging Scientist at Volpara Health. My academic career has included a Senior Lectureship at the University of Lincoln, where I contributed to teaching, postgraduate research supervision, and research ethics oversight. Earlier, I held a postdoctoral research position in the Department of Genetics at the University of Cambridge. In addition, I have served as a Director and Board Governor at Lincoln University Technical College, contributing to institutional strategy and governance.

I hold a DPhil in Engineering from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford, specialising in biomedical imaging under the supervision of Professor Sir Michael Brady. I also hold an MEng in Information and Intelligence Engineering from the University of Liverpool and a BS in Computer Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a qualified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA England).

I am a Co-Investigator on the €2M Horizon Europe BIOLEAD programme (HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-CIRCBIO-10), where I lead the International Cooperation work package (WP6). This work focuses on shaping a globally integrated biotechnology and biomanufacturing ecosystem through strategic international partnerships, knowledge exchange, capacity building, and policy engagement.
