I am a laboratory astrophysicist. I work in the Fourier Transform (FT) Spectroscopy group at Imperial College.

I was awarded my PhD in 2022 at Imperial College London and before that, an MPhys with Astrophysics from the University of Southampton including a research year at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

My research focus is on the term analysis of doubly-ionised iron (Fe III). I have experimentally-measured the transition wavelengths of Fe III using a Penning Discharge Lamp on the Imperial College Vacuum-Ultraviolet Fourier Transform Spectrometer. These high-resolution wavelengths are used to optimise Fe III atomic energy level values, from which highly accurate spectral line Ritz wavelengths and parity-forbidden Ritz wavelengths are calculated. These accurate Fe III data will be used as wavelength standards, for the calibration of VUV spectra of hot stars, and for the identification and analysis of Fe III spectral lines in astrophysical objects including dilute astrophysical plasmas.
