DrFiammetta Caccavale

My teaching activities focus on the intersection of engineering, programming, data science, and artificial intelligence. I have experience developing and delivering educational activities for students in (bio)chemical engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), with a particular emphasis on helping students develop computational and data-driven skills that are relevant to modern engineering practice.

As part of my work at DTU, I have contributed to the development of programming education for engineering students, including the design of structured Python courses tailored to the needs and backgrounds of (bio)chemical engineers. My teaching also incorporates AI-based and digital learning tools, reflecting my broader interest in exploring how emerging technologies can enhance student learning and engagement.

My approach to teaching is student-centred, interdisciplinary, and practice-oriented. I aim to connect theoretical concepts with authentic problems and to create learning environments in which students can develop both disciplinary knowledge and transferable computational and AI literacy skills.
