Dr. Eimear Rutherford is a postdoctoral research associate in the National Heart and Lung Institute. She completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge, which focused on the generation of a novel alveolar organoid model and it’s employment for patient-specific disease modelling.
Dr. Rutherford is now a member of Professor Clare Lloyds research group, with a primary interest in Asthma. Her project employs advanced omic techniques to investigate how key pulmonary and immune cells interact to drive lung remodelling in disease.
