BIO
Neural circuits in Sleep Control
I am interested in the circuits that control the timing of sleep and the sensory inputs that influence these circuits. Ultimately, we are trying to understand why we sleep.
Biography
I am currently a Postdoctoral Neuroscientist in the Merkle Laboratory at the University of Cambridge - Institute of Metabolic Science. I am also a visiting researcher in the laboratory of Bill Wisden and Nick Franks at Imperial College, where I completed my PhD in 2016/17.
Prior to my doctoral training, I completed an MRes in Biochemical Research also at Imperial. Before that, I studied Pharmacology at the University of Manchester and spent a year in drug discovery at GlaxoSmithKline.
