DrElizabeth Gray

Elizabeth is a Research Associate whose work focuses on the statistical analysis of detections of vaccine derived Polio and Typhoid, with particular focus on spatial analysis. She works within the Vaccine Epidemiology Research Group (VERG) in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology. Her recent work has included using Bayesian hierarchical modelling techniques to probabilistically attribute vaccine derived Polio outbreaks to potential causal campaigns and identify risk factors.

Elizabeth completed her PhD at the University of Bath, where she developed statistical methods for the analysis of preferentially sampled spatial data, which were then applied to air and soil pollution data. She also obatined an MMath in Mathematical Sciences from Durham University.
