Ed is a postdoctoral research associate at the Centre for Bacterial Resistance Biology, in the lab of Dr Andrew Edwards. His main research focus is on understanding polymyxin mechanism of action, tolerance and resistance using various biochemical approaches and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Using the information gained from this experimentation he has developed novel ways of improving polymyxin activity. Additionally he is interested in immune-antibiotic interactions and understanding antibiotic susceptibility in host environments.
